AGM-EPU Prague 2022

The AGM 2022 in Prague will be hosted by the Czech Polio Association. The meeting will be held on Friday 10th June 2022 in the hotel Pyramida (Bělohorská 24, 169 00 Praha 6) located in the historical part of Prague just a few minutes’ walk from Prague Castle and  15 minutes drive from the airport. We have reserved a sufficient number of rooms at the hotel for the participants including 4 wheelchair adapted rooms during the workshop period. The fees of hotel reservation should be at the participants' own expenses and we have negotiated with the hotel for the maximum discount.

Rooms and Prices: We have reserved 30 rooms, 4 of them are disabled rooms and suitable mainly for wheelchair users. All rooms (type Deluxe) can have single or double occupancy.

There are  4 disabled rooms, 3 rooms have been situated on the Deluxe floor, 1 room on Classic floor with discount CZK 250 per room per night.

The prices also include buffet breakfast and the use of the Hotel’s Wi-Fi Internet. The prices include 10% VAT. The conference price for accommodation above is valid for participants 3 days before and 3 days after the AGM. In exceptional cases, the current public price on the orea.cz website may be lower than this contract price. In this case, the price for additional nights can be adjusted accordingly 3 days before and 3 days after the event.

The accommodation price does not include local charges (accommodation charges) based on applicable legislation, which is CZK 50 per person per day, except for the first day of the stay.

Accommodation reservations within the scope specified herein shall be made by the Customer or, based on its decision and   full responsibility, by the participants individually through reservation link  EPU2022. Wheelchair delegates should write in the comment disabled room.

The reservation link shall be open for the participants until 25th May 2022. After that, the rooms shall be provided according to availability and applicable price offer.

 

Cancellation conditions:

For the individual event participants who have booked their accommodation through the link, cancellation fees shall apply under the following conditions:

Dining, Meals & Beverages:

Soft drinks and light refreshment during the AGM, a buffet lunch, and  dinner on June 10 for official delegates (two per EPU member organisation) are offered and paid by the EPU. Participants themselves cover all other meals and beverages. For dining (lunches, dinners), there are several options in the hotel – restaurant, café, bar. Meals are offered on the a la carte menu.

 

For conference purposes & occasions, meals and beverages need not be pre-ordered, but it is possible, of course.

 

Transportation from the Prague Vaclav Havel Airport to the hotel and back:

The individual customer shall make transportation between Prague airport and the hotel (taxi, bus 119 +metro line A +tram 22/25). Local organizers will provide special arrangements for wheelchair users  if this requirement is registered in the form  https://www.polio.cz/agm2022/.

There are only taxis at the airport that have a contract with the airport (currently FIX taxis and Tick Tack). Airport price -> hotel 569 CZK,  hotel -> airport 386 CZK. A special taxi can be arranged for people with reduced mobility (wheelchair users) (must be ordered in advance). We recommend that you want a receipt from the taxi driver who must issue it for you.

 

Currency:

The currency in Czechia is the Czech crown (“česká koruna”), the official rate to Euro, which is approximately 25 CZK / 1 €. The average rate in January 2021 – January 2022 is 25.546 €. The currency exchange office is in the airport or the exchange machine in the hotel, but credit and debit cards of nearly all kinds usually used in Europe and U. S. are accepted.

 

Working language:

The AGM 2022 will be held only in English, and no interpretation services to and from other languages paid by the EPU will be provided.

Registration:

Based on previous experiences and in order to be able to welcome many associations or countries delegates, the EPU Board has decided to accept maximum 2 delegates per association/member organisation at the AGM and the official dinner. Additional persons/partners/Family and colleagues will be very welcome to attend of course, but they will have to pay their individual expenses and are not covered by the "Official delegate payment by the EPU ".
